Auslogics Antivirus Comfortably Achieves Another VB100 Award From Virus Bulletin
Auslogics Antivirus achieves its second VB100 award in the last year demonstrating perfect detection rates and zero false positives in the summer 2012 tests by Virus Bulletin.
UK, September 24th 2012; Auslogics Antivirus v.15, security software by the Australian-based Auslogics Software Pty Ltd, has recently achieved its second VB100 award in the comparative tests run by Virus Bulletin. The testing was done on the Windows 7 operating system during the summer months and completed in August 2012.
According to Virus Bulletin, “…everything went very nicely indeed, with blazing fast scan times…, very light overheads… and a light impact on our set of tasks… Detection rates were really quite excellent, with consistently high scores throughout the Response sets, no issues at all in the WildList sets and no false positives either. Auslogics thus comfortably earns its second VB100 award.”
Virus Bulletin is an independent authority that is widely recognized in the industry for its unbiased tests and reviews of antivirus software. The VB100 award, first introduced in 1998, is given to antivirus solutions that are able to detect 100% of “in the wild” viruses during both on-access and on-demand scans, while producing absolutely no false positives when checking a set of files known to be clean. Virus Bulletin recommends looking at how consistent a software company’s product is in passing the tests and obtaining the VB100 award, which, according to them, is an indicator of how well the antivirus software is supported and kept up to date. With Auslogics receiving the perfect score of 100 and getting the VB100 award a second time in a row, the company proves that their antivirus solution deserves to be in the top spots on AV comparison charts.
Auslogics Antivirus v.15 includes all of the previous version’s features, such as real-time protection to stop threats before they can do damage, active virus control to defend against newly created viruses, vulnerability scan to discover your system’s potential security holes and recommend ways to fix them, game and laptop modes to limit the use of system resources when you are gaming or when your laptop is running on battery power, privacy control to protect your sensitive data, and other features. At the same time, it includes such innovative additions as the Auto Pilot mode, which makes the program completely silent on a user’s computer, the Rescue mode letting clean up tough infections when the operating system is unable to boot, and the Browser Sandbox mode that allows isolating the internet browser to prevent online threats from spreading to the hard drive. A complete list of program features can be found at www.auslogics.com/en/software/antivirus.
“We are extremely proud and honored to receive such a prestigious award for the second time in a row,” says Anna Lind, Auslogics PR representative. “It strengthens our commitment to ensuring the high quality of our software and gives our customers another reason to choose Auslogics products.”
